From business brokerage to mergers and acquisitions;
we are the business sale specialists.

When a company owner needs to sell their business, they can't just stick a for sale sign in the window. Key to a successful exit is confidentiality. A new owner deserves the right to receive the business that the supporting financial documentation describes, not one that has been compromised by employees or competitors who have taken advantage of a pending sale. It is best to enlist the assistance of a business broker to locate and vet potential buyers while the business continues to operate at its full potential.

On the other side, buyers rely on business brokers to help facilitate the process of evaluating potential businesses for sale including franchise opportunities. A Transworld Business Advisor is the solution for both scenarios.

We don’t have customers. We have Clients.

There is unprecedented growth here and we believe that we can help a lot of people in their business endeavors.

What separates Transworld DC Metro from other business brokers is our comprehensive approach. Most brokers are only interested in the transaction. We work with our clients from end to end with the assistance of our in-house certified financial planner. Our process starts with understanding where you are financially, what your goals are, and what you expect to gain from selling or buying a business. Only through this careful analysis can you begin to make, what for many people will be, the most important financial decision of their life. We are there to guide you up-front to help you address possible improvements before going to market. We are there post transaction to assist you with the management of your proceeds to achieve your financial goals.

Melissa Patel

Before opening Transworld Business Advisors of DC Metro, Melissa worked in consulting for Booz Allen Hamilton. This is where she had her “aha moment” and realized the advisory work she was performing for her clients would benefit small business owners, many times over. She decided to focus on small business mergers and acquisitions.

Melissa is a small business advocate as her father’s small business allowed him to achieve his American dream when he immigrated to the United States in 1978. Her aim is to continue to help small and mid-size business thrive, as she believes each business leaves an everlasting footprint on the community.

Melissa has a diverse background in business. She started her career in investment banking…
